Staff-only clinical knowledge, beside Epic
This notice covers staff who use the Clinical Knowledge Platform (CKP) on the web, iOS and Android. CKP holds approved clinical guidance. It is not a patient record. Patient data stays in Epic.
UpliftOS single sign-on (Microsoft Entra ID with MFA) owns your identity. CKP never creates passwords or stores them. Your name, work email, department and job title come from your organization and are read-only here.
| Data | Why | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Your profile | To show who you are and what you may see | Your organization's directory |
| Searches and questions | To return results and improve search quality | What you type |
| Content you open | Recent items, favorites and the audit trail | Your use of CKP |
| Feedback you send | To fix content and the app | The feedback form |
| Device and session | To keep you signed in and sign you out when idle | Your browser or phone |
Every time protected information is read or changed, CKP writes an audit event: who, what, when and from which device. Audit events cannot be edited. They are removed only by the scheduled retention job, never by hand.
The phone app may keep approved guidance on the device so you can read it offline. It is stored encrypted and is cleared when you sign out or when your organization removes the device. Idle sessions end automatically.
We count how pages and searches are used so we can improve CKP. These counts are about the app, not about patients, and are never sold or used for advertising.
When you ask a question, CKP finds approved guidance and may summarize it with citations. Your question is processed under agreements that forbid training on it. Do not enter patient identifiers into a question.
Audit events and access records are kept for the period your organization's compliance policy sets, then removed by the retention job. Search history and recent items are kept for a shorter period and can be cleared from your profile.
You can clear your recent items and favorites, manage notifications in Settings, and ask your privacy office for a copy of what CKP holds about you or to correct it.
